The H3 gets the best fuel mileage. Everything but the body is a Chevy Trailblazer.
You can try a fuel catalyst. If you google, "how to improve gas mileage" you'll find a bunch of suggestions. I'm trying a product called Fuel Infusion (http://www.fuelinfusion.com) right now and seeing between 10-15% better mileage. There's lots of things to try, but this might be a good product to test.

No; friction decreases gas mileage.
The 2005 Trailblazer has a 22 gallon tank.
This mainly depends on the personal driving style and the actual engine (there are different V8 engines available for this car). According to the original manufacturer specification the gas mileage for the 6.0L 395 hp V8 engine varies between 15 and 19 miles per gallon.
Join our trailblazer enthusiasts forum at www.trailvoy.com There are a few good options to improve mileage a fair bit. There is a lot of stuff to read and most questions on the forum get answered really fast. You will want to read about K&N intakes and a "TUNED" PCM. The exhaust on these trucks is very free flowing and has only enough restriction to make the VVT work properly.
yes driving at a speed where the engine is running with a slower RPM then a speed where it is running at faster RPM will save a little fuel.
