Neurotransmitters' action vary widely with or without drugs and even food. As an example, chocolate contains tryptophan, which is one of the elements responsible to form serotonin, a neurotransmitter, along with the vitamin B6. Any drugs can alter neurotransmitters' function in the brain. But antidepressant is the drug specially developed to fight depression, and other related mental disorders.

(All by myself)

The impact on human behavior vary extensively according to everyone nature and genetic predisposition.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals in the brain that play a key role in regulating mood, emotions, and behavior. Drugs can affect neurotransmitter levels, leading to changes in behavior. For example, drugs that increase levels of dopamine can result in feelings of pleasure and reward, while drugs that increase serotonin levels can lead to improvements in mood and decreased anxiety. However, misuse of drugs can also disrupt neurotransmitter balance and contribute to negative behavioral outcomes, such as addiction or impaired cognitive function.

Neurotransmitters are chemicals located and released in the brain to allow an impulse from one nerve cell to pass to another nerve cell. Some common neurotransmitters are acetylcholine, norepinephrine, dopamine, serotonin and gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA). Acetylcholine and norepinephrine are excitatory neurotransmitters while dopamine, serotonin, and GABA are inhibitory neurotransmitters. Each neurotransmitter can directly or indirectly influence neurons in a specific portion of the brain, thereby affecting behavior. Any abnormal level in neurotransmitters can lead to mental disorders.

Serotonin is known contributor to feeling and well being, these include the regulation of mood, appetite, sleep, as well as muscle contraction and some functions including in memory and learning. Norepinephrine is found in parts of the brain called amygdala, where attention and responses are controlled. Any imbalance in serotonin and norepinephrine activity can lead to depression symptoms as well as anxiety disorders. Impairment of dopamine containing neurons can lead to schizophrenia, Attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder. Each neurotransmitter is found in specific parts of the brain and their job is to transmit messages from one nerve cell to another. If their normal activity level is changed by drugs such as alcohol, cocaine or marijuana, this can affect mood and behavior of a person.

How do you relate human behavior to chemical properties?

Human behavior can be influenced by the chemical properties of substances that interact with the body, such as neurotransmitters in the brain. For example, changes in the levels of neurotransmitters like serotonin or dopamine can affect mood and behavior. Understanding the chemical properties of substances can provide insight into how they might alter human behavior.

What has psychology had an impact on?

Psychology has had an impact on various fields including education, marketing, healthcare, and criminal justice. It has helped to understand human behavior, emotions, and cognitive processes, leading to advancements in therapy, interventions, and policy development.

What is the meaning of physiological in human behavior?

Physiological refers to the physical processes and functions of the body that impact behavior. This can include things like hormones, neurotransmitters, and brain activity that influence how an individual thinks, feels, and acts. Understanding the physiological aspects of human behavior can help explain why people react in certain ways in different situations.

Does individual behaviour have and effect on human behaviour?

Yes, individual behavior can have an impact on human behavior collectively. The actions of individuals can influence social norms, attitudes, and beliefs within a society. This can lead to changes in behavior on a larger scale.

What is the biological school of thought in psychology?

The biological school of thought in psychology emphasizes the role of biology and genetics in shaping behavior and mental processes. It focuses on how the brain, nervous system, and other biological factors influence behavior, cognition, and emotions. Biological psychologists often conduct research on topics such as brain structure and function, neurotransmitters, and how genetics impact behavior.

What are two ways that drugs affect the brain's chemistry?

The brain is affected by any substance which contains an actionable chemistry, not all of which are considered drugs. Drugs are defined as substances known to affect the human brain's condition and functionality. They (drugs) change the brain in the short term by supressing or triggering different chemical reactions which results in the 'altered state' or 'high' feeling. In the long term they have negative effects on the quantity and the quality of the brain's cells, its chemistry, and ultimately its behavior and health.

Is human behavior more a result of culture or of heredity?

Human behavior is influenced by both culture and heredity. While genetics play a role in shaping certain traits and tendencies, culture, upbringing, and environment also have a significant impact on shaping behavior. It is a complex interplay between nature and nurture that contributes to human behavior.

How do drugs produce their effects on human behavior?

Drugs produce their effects on human behavior by interacting with the central nervous system. They can alter neurotransmitter levels, affect brain activity, and influence the brain's reward system, leading to changes in mood, behavior, and perception. These effects can vary depending on the type of drug and its mechanism of action.

What is biological bases behavior?

Biological bases of behavior refer to how biological factors, such as genetics, brain structure, and neurotransmitters, influence human behavior. These factors can affect things like personality traits, mental disorders, and responses to environmental stimuli. Studying the biological bases of behavior helps researchers better understand the link between brain function and behavior.
