POLYPHONIC
"Ride of the Valkyries" was composed by Richard Wagner as part of his opera "Die WalkΓΌre" (The Valkyrie), which is the second opera in the four-opera cycle "Der Ring des Nibelungen" (The Ring of the Nibelung).
Wagners "Ride of the Valkeries" became a "quick march" step for the German Army, the Weirmach, for processional marches only in late 1938, one year before the Third Reich invaded Poland and initiated WWII. This was due To Hitler's love and fascination with Wagners music and his feeling that it was the "soul" of the Aryian German music.
It is not listed in the soundtrack credits.
