For me, may not be applicable to everyone but I think, the best is that you are able to find everything you want, esp. in Bangkok, where I live, I think there are nothing not available here.
Don't mention about traffic, it may not be a good point but other than that drawback, I think, living in a city, give you oppportunity to learn and improve yourself. You will learn, how to live peacefully with other people.
