Compassion is the greatest religion in the world. If more people were compassionate, the less problems we would have.

Religion is very hard to pin down. The above answer is very good, but at the same time, one could also argue that compassion is an emotion which we human beings can feel without necessarily being motivated by religion. Atheists can also be compassionate. Still, if you make compassion your religion, you will have a very socially helpful religion. All religious people believe that their own religion is the greatest religion in the world, and they all have a variety of arguments to prove that they are right. In a limited sense, of having the largest membership, the Roman Catholic Church can claim to be the greatest. That does not necessarily mean that the religion is more accurate or more plausible than some other religion, but it does have the most members.
