It is caused by humans emitting harmful gases and chemicals into our Earth's atmosphere.
Further information:
Earth has both a "natural" greenhouse effect and a "man-made" greenhouse effect.
The natural greenhouse effect is caused mostly by water vapour, and to a much smaller degree, to carbon dioxide, methane, and a few other minor gases. These factors help keep the Earth warm and habitable.
The "unnatural" greenhouse effect is what results from the burning of fossil fuels and rainforest trees, which release extra carbon when they are felled and burnt.
Solar radiation from the sun is absorbed by the earth. The earth re-radiates some of this energy as heat back into the atmosphere. Some of this energy actually escapes into the solar system, while the other part is absorbed by greenhouse gases in our atmosphere (such as carbon dioxide) and re-radiated back down to the earth, causing the greenhouse effect.
The natural greenhouse effect is due to greenhouse gases capturing the heat of the sun. This leads to keeping the earth warm enough for life.
The enhanced greenhouse effect is due to the burning of fossil fuels and deforestation. It leads to global warming and climate change.
Water Vapor is the gas that is largely responsible for the natural greenhouse effect that has warmed the earth for millions of years.Carbon dioxide is the gas that is largely responsible for the present accelerated greenhouse effect that is causing global warming.
The enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect, is the increased heat in the atmosphere. It is caused largely by humans burning fossil fuels and cutting down forests. Both these activities Lead to more carbon dioxide (a greenhouse gas) in the atmosphere.
Greenhouse Effect
The greenhouse effect is the natural way that the Earth keeps warm. Too many extra greenhouse gases turn the greenhouse effect into an enhanced greenhouse effect. The enhanced, or accelerated, greenhouse effect is causing global warming.
The greenhouse effect is the natural process by which greenhouse gases keep the earth's temperature at a comfortable level suitable for human existence. The enhanced greenhouse effect is the increase in greenhouse gases that is leading to global warming. The term "enhanced greenhouse effect" is also referred to as the "anthropogenic greenhouse effect" and is the idea that humans may have an effect on global climate. It is also referred to as the "runaway greenhouse effect".
Water Vapor is the gas that is largely responsible for the natural greenhouse effect that has warmed the earth for millions of years.Carbon dioxide is the gas that is largely responsible for the present accelerated greenhouse effect that is causing global warming.
Venus, due to its strong Greenhouse Effect.
Both Earth and Venus have increase temperature due to a greenhouse effect. Venus has a much stronger greenhouse effect than Earth does.
The normal greenhouse effect which keeps the earth warm enough for life is caused largely by water vapour, with a small effect from carbon dioxide and methane. However, the greenhouse gas responsible for the present enhanced greenhouse effect is carbon dioxide, yes.
There is no bright sunlight on the surface of Venus. It's not really because of the greenhouse effect, even though Venus does have a big greenhouse effect.
Venus has a runaway greenhouse effect. Its seas have now boiled dry!
False
Greenhouse effect is due to greenhouse gases. We have to stop their emission.
The enhanced, or accelerated greenhouse effect, is the increased heat in the atmosphere. It is caused largely by humans burning fossil fuels and cutting down forests. Both these activities Lead to more carbon dioxide (a greenhouse gas) in the atmosphere.
EARTH!!!!!!!!
There are 5 major greenhouse gasses: water vapour, carbon dioxide (also known as CO2), methane, nitrous oxide and ozone. Water vapour is the strongest greenhouse gas but it happens largely naturally (ie ocean water evaporates when the sun shines on it). The other four are largely anthropogenic (man-made) greenhouse gasses. See chart linked below for detailed information on greenhouse gasses (GHG's) and their contribution to the greenhouse effect.
The warming of the earth due to increased levels of carbon dioxide is called the Greenhouse effect. Global warming is a result of the greenhouse effect.
