Other sites I read said the Chgevy Geo Tracker in 2 wheel version has 7.5 inch ground clearance with standard 195/75/15 tires, and the 4 wheel drive models have 8.3 inches of ground clearance (same as a Wrangler Jeep) with the standard 205/75/15 in ch tires. Having read lots of blogs, others say that the tallest tire that can go on the Tracker without modifications is a 235/75/15 inch tire...And the standard 205/75/15 is 27.3 inches tall, with the 235/75/15 tire being 29 inches, the 235 is only 1.7 inches higher than the 205, with only half that height reflected in more ground clearance- so real improved height is only 1.7/2=.85 inch higher, but with a tire that barely fits and almost rubs without any bouncing, and I imagine might rub through any rough terrain. For comparisonI asked about using the 30-9.5-15 inch tire is close to the 235/75/15, which is similar height but is slightly wider, and Les Schwab dealer here said he did not think it would fit on without rubbing. The Les Schwab dealer I just talked to said they installed the 235/75/15 on a Tracker last week, and was a VERY tight fit, but does go on without any lift or fender touching. This is whjat I have gathered, and own a 1993 Tracker 4x4 soft top. Enjoy...
