The US has the highest level of gun ownership in the world at about 88.8%; 34% higher than the next highest, Yemen.
It's interesting to consider and not wholly unrelated that South Africa's gun ownership rate is 12.7 (which puts it at about 50th of all nations) but has a murder by gun rate of 74.57:100,000 as opposed to that of the US, 15.22:100,000, making the murder rate in South Africa the highest in the world. One has to wonder if the South African murder rate would be lower if more people there owned guns legally.
Because we can.
It's considerably easier to own a firearm in the US legally than in any other country.
Mexico US citizens can legally purchase guns from a gun dealer or from another individual. There are a few states that have restrictions, but most do not.
what is the emplyment rate of U.S citizens
No way of knowing- no records of gun ownership.
There is a lot of disapproval towards gun ownership in the US.
Guns are tools and as such. do not provide us with anything by themselves. For example, asking "What do hammers provide for us" reveals the logical flaw in the question. The legitimate uses for guns by individual citizens are self defense, hunting, and target shooting. Gun ownership is guaranteed by by the Second Amendment to the Constitution.
There is a generally accepted number of about 89 guns per 100 people in the US. However, that does not truly reflect the ownership rate, since many gun owners have more than one gun. A more accurate rate would be an ESTIMATE of about 25-30 persons out of 100 own 1 or more firearms. It is an estimate, since in most of the US there is no requirement to register firearms with a government agency.
yes
About one third of all households own at least one firearm.
Literally, tens if not hundreds of thousands of laws. My copy of US state gun laws is about 2 inches thick. It is estimated that there are more than 20,000 gun laws in the US- and you are asking about "around the world".
