- The Montezuma's chain of Mexican restaurants began operating in 1978.
- Aztec Products was established in 1986. This was the first fully Australian-owned supplier of authentic Mexican food products in Austalia, and was started by a group of owners of Mexican rstaurants who were unhappy with the lack of authentic Mexican food products available in Australia.

∙ 15y agoUp to World War II basic English food without much variety apart from the odd Indian curry and Chinese dish. After the war many different cultures influenced the Australian palate and Australia is now a truly cosmopolitan society with a huge variety of different foods and cuisines.
