there is no god in Buddhism, but Buddha is like the role/model teacher. Buddhists just follow his teachings. they don't think he's controlling the world like some other religions think and there's no heaven and hell business. basically the Buddhists just follow the eightfold path and the other teachings of Buddha that he invented when he was being enlightened or whatever. if you wanna follow what Buddha says just Google Buddhism and it will tell you what Buddha thinks you should do.
There is no holy person or deity in Buddhism
There are many books and texts used in Buddhism to instruct in its practices and beliefs. Same are discourses on positions and teachings, others are records of the Buddha's sermons and lectures. So there is not one book that is especially important and equivalent to a Qur'an or Bible. It is important to remember that "holy" implies something given by a deity to mankind, either directly ot through messengers. Buddhism has no deity. As a consequence there is no "holy" anything.
Given that Buddhism in general has no deity, and "Holy Books" are inspired by a deity, it follows that Buddhism has no holy books. Buddhism does have a number of texts and writing reflecting the teachings of the Buddha and commentaries on these writings, These would be regarded as significant writings worth studying. A key consideration is that Zen Buddhism relies on an individual interpretation of the application of Buddhist principles to life. Interpretations provided by a book or instruction are suspect. As the Samurai koan states "If you meet the Buddha on the road - kill him."
The Torah is a Jewish holy book, it is not related to Buddhism.
Buddha wrote no books holy or otherwise. Buddhism rejects the concept of "holy" as it implies reliance on a deity. The records of Buddha's discussions and the analysis of his philosophies was done by others.
Buddhism has many celebrations during the year to mark days of historic or cultural significance. These are not holy days as holy implies a relationship with a deity. There is no deity in Buddhism. Buddhism does not have special day of the week for community observation (essentially no Sunday if you are Christian, no Saturday if you are Jewish or no Friday if you are Muslim)
Tripitaka
Buddhism
The Tripikata is a holy book for Buddhism
Buddhism does.
A holy figure is one related to a deity. Buddhism has no holy figures as it has no deity. The figure of Buddha is often represented in Buddhist temples and shrines. This does not make it a holy figure, rather it is a revered figure. It honours the man who determined the way by which each of us may find our way out of the cycle of death and rebirth and to enlightenment.
The Buddha hinself would be the most revered, with other incarnations, learned teachers, and scholars following. There is no "holy" associated with any of these figures however as "holy" requires a deity, and Buddhism has no deity.
