This really depends on who you ask. Traditionally speaking, there are two main types of outlooks on the issue. The first of these is the Trinitarian outlook, which believes that God consists of God, the Father, God, the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit. They look to all of these as different parts of the same God, all seperate, but working together as a One, thus their seperateness is taken away by their sameness. The other traditional outlook is the Unitarian outlook, which believes that God is God. He is the Father, and the Father alone is God. Jesus and the Holy Spirit are not God in this case. Some people further suggest that God is Love. Some believe God to be a cold, distant God. Some believe God to be loving and caring. Some believe the God of the Old Testament and New Testament do not add up. Some believe they are completely harmonious with one another. Whatever the case, for Christians, the Holy God of Christianity is not a "what," but a "who." In the Bible, God is only referred to by a name, a title, or a He. God was never referred to as an "It." Though not one could fully encompass "what" or "who" God was, there are many different aspects and roles that He fulfills in the Bible. He is called many different titles and names and respected in many different ways. To answer the question more clearly, the Holy God of Christianity is not anything we can comprehend, but in the eyes of a Christian, He is the reason for everything, He is absolute where everything else is relative. With God, there is no bias, while there is always bias in a human's mind. Here are some scriptures to ponder about what God is, or, at least, what kind of God that God is. Many people are displeased with or even curse the Holy God of Christianity because of the way many Christians live. Even the Bible said that they would be. Others suggest that the Holy God of Christianity does not fit with the Old Testament, because that God was vengeful and cruel. That too, was not the case. Though in the Old Testament, there were punitive actions against Israel and other nations, there were always honest reasons given. Though they seem harsh to a person, a person should read and understand the "why" of those actions before judging. The mouth of the LORD has spoken. Micah 6:6-8: 6 With what shall I come before the LORD

God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 17In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment, because in this world we are like him. 18There is no fear in love. The one who fears is not made perfect in love. 19We love because he first loved us. 20If anyone says, "I love God," yet hates his brother, he is a liar. The question comes, then, "If God is so loving, why is there anger toward humans?" God asks obedience. According to the Christian faith, God created us for a purpose. Were a person to create something with a specific purpose in mind and it did not work out, they would either try to fix it or throw it out. The things that could be fixed, that person would keep it, and if it could not be fixed, they would throw it out. It is not that you do not care for this thing you made, but it did not do what it was supposed to. You care for the thing that ends up working and doing what it's supposed to. You keep it and take care of it. Romans 1:18-25 18The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities-his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. 21For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. 24Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator-who is forever praised. In that passage, God gave a way for this broken creation to be redeemed and do what it was made to do. This is not the forum to give a biased opinion. This is an attempt to explain as closely as I know how, what the Holy God of Christianity is. I cannot speak for everyone, but I can speak as a Christian. I suppose that is where a person should go to ask such questions. The Holy God of Christianity is a loving Creator. This is what one Christian believes: Look at the harmony of the universe. Even bodies in outer space, planets, moons and suns work harmoniously, relying on each other for different needs. The earth is reliant on the sun for life to be sustained, but also just to exist. Planets orbit around the sun much faster than any vehicle can drive, but it is as smooth for us as a pleasant afternoon drive. And with respect to life - respect all life. All creatures give and take in this world. Or, at least, they are made to. Plants grow by sunlight, water and minerals. Animals come and eat grass, or find shelter under their leaves and branches. The plants grow old and die, if they have not been eaten. Animals do the same. Barnacles are symbiotes to whales. Whales eat fish. All of creation is to provide for one another. In nature, there is love, not harshness. It works harmoniously, and the creatures and plants that are taken for food should be honored, not ignored. They should be respected. Every bite of food was taken by another's life. That is to be respected deeply. Something gave the deepest sacrifice so that another could eat. That goes doubly so for humankind. Everything a human owns is taken from somewhere. Respected and appreciate everything, because it was taken from somewhere. There are many starving to death in this world. Every bite of food is another's poverty. It is to be respected. In this manner, everything is sacred. This is not the natural order. There should be no death or suffering. But because mankind acts in the manner of self-service, he forgets about everything else or does not care about everything else and takes for himself. That is not love. Love is the basis for everything that a Christian should be believe. Well, God, then love. A person should act first for the sake of others, not for himself. All people should act first for the sake of others. That is sacred. That is what natural harmony is. When all people in this world forget about their own problems, all the problems of the world will be forgotten. This is the way God intended it to be. The God I believe in is not that of anger or vengeance. He is not even of mystery or magic. He is a God of love and harmony. How was that for an answer?
