Toyota 3AU Engine specs
yes,the only difference is the carb and the intake manifold.both engines have the same mounting]
Of course it has! it can also produce up to 7500 revs. the 3AU came up first before the 4AG, they are both use for Levin and trueno coupe version of Toyota, they also both use timing belt for their Over Head Cam, the only difference is that the 3AU only have single over head cam (SOHC) while the 4AG have double over head cam (DOHC) by the way, they also have a different power output becasue 3AU only have 8 valve while 4AG have 16, anyway, perfectly uned 3AU nowadays can still kick some butt.
In order to have a better performace with my engine I make sure that the fuel filter is always clean, and if trouble comes with my carburetor I clean it using gasoline and dried up using air compressor to remove some of the residue coming from the gasoline tank, In adjustment of the carburetor of my 3AU engine, the timing of the engien is important and the spark plugs are clean, and the distributor cup and cables are properly attached and clean, to have a better timing and adjustment of the air and gasoline required by the engine, if trouble comes just remove the air control to remove some dirt. while the engine is still running.
yes. very good result, high fuel efficiency without affecting the speed.
Formula: (CH3COO)3Au
If 4speed transmission it consumes around 9 to 11km/L But if you're using 5speed transmission it consumes around 12 to 15km/
It depends on where you are in the world and the exact model. In Japan 4AGE was ~118HP The "AE85" had a 1.5L 3AU engine and made ~65HP.In the US the SOHC 4AC (1.6L AE86) was 87HP and the DOHC 4AG (1.6L AE86) was ~112HP.These might seem like very small numbers compared to modern cars, but the reason they can be so quick with such little power is because of power/weight ratio. They only weigh about 2200LBS at the most, as compared to an FD RX-7 which weighs ~2,700LBS, or something twice as powerful but slow like a Dodge Grand Caravan which weighs ~4500lbs.

Absolutely yes. only 5K gearbox has smaller clutch disk and 19teeth of main shaft, while T50 and T40 gearbox had larger clutch disk diameter and has 20teeth main shaft, as far as all concern, bellhousing will fit perfectly
