The ZR2 and the ZR5 both come with the 4.3 Vortec SLS motor, which is cam'd bored and stroked. So its actually not a 262ci 4.3L, its more or less a 275ci 4.5L. This SLS motor was stock with all ZR2's and ZR5's, but it was a rare option when buying a 2WD S-10. I have a 1999 S-10 2WD SLS Regular Cab. It has a cold air intake with true duals (Flowmaster 40's on each side), stock cats, E3 Diamond Fire spark plugs medium grade wires, Mobil1 Synthetic, Fram Filter, all aluminum radiator, serviced my cooling, transmission and the rear-end, everything else is stock. I push 205H.P.-208H.P. (depending on the temperature outside) at the rear wheels. And once again the only mods are a cold air, and true duals. From the factory, you get 190H.P.
I believe that is 120 net horsepower
NASCAR uses stock engines, with many of the racers using the engines created by Roush-Fenway. These are four stroke engines that reach horsepower of over 800.
A stock yz125 produces 33 horsepower, new. As the engines get older, the valves, rings and other components wear. This will cause horsepower to drop.
it has 43 horsepower stock
Stock Horsepower is around 39hp.
The stock 400 Big Block was actually a 402 and they had 2 engines in 1972, one had 210 HP and the other had 240 HP.
The new stock EVO 1200 engines push roughly 65 hp at the rear wheel....
Stock horsepower on a 350 varies from 145-370.
