The stock 400 Big Block was actually a 402 and they had 2 engines in 1972, one had 210 HP and the other had 240 HP.
the 1970 Chevelle had 500 hp stock and 500 pounds of torque. The 1972 chevelle 454 was SAE rated @ 270 horsepower
First of all is that a 350 is not a big block. It is a small block.
