on computer controlled vehicles the iac adjusts engine tickover speeds by variing the amount of air it allows through a separate air bleed to the main airflow in throttle body if engine stalls when on tickover or when ac compressor cuts in may need resetting
Probably needs lubrication and the control cable adjusted
If your vehicle is leaking fumes, then your gas tank needs to be fixed.
Needs a good tune up?
when it no longer works. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
Apparently your rear trunk latch needs adjusted.
There is no adjustment for the bands on a Chevy automatic transmission. They self adjust as the bands wear.
the linkage to the transmmison probably needs to be adjusted
Most newer cars have either a Idler pully that cant be adjusted>needs replaced. easy> And some older cars tighten by looseing the alternator and adusting that way, pull back till tight, while holding, tighten bolt back up.
you dont, it has a hydraulic tensioner. if it needs to be adjusted then it needs to be replaced
You should never need to replace a carb. Cleaned yes, rebuilt yes, but not replaced. If the car is being driven then at most you need to have it adjusted and tuned up. The only time you will ever need to replace a carb is when it is so gummed up from sitting that it can't be cleaned properly.
in 92 caprice did not come with lt1 only corvette had lt1 in 92
The transmission throttle valve cable needs to be adjusted.
it does not mean that. it means that the timing is off so it has to be timed by a timing gun pointed at the distributer and adjusted

The IAC (Idle air control) valve is bad and needs to be replaced. Its about $200 parts and labor.
Yes a lt1 will fit in a 1991, but i believe the motor mounts are a little different for the lt1. You cannot transplant it though without an PCM from an lt1, which needs a 4l60E transmission to control the transmission and engine codes. There are standalone kits available but they cost more than a PCM.
