A lot of the foods we eat are more easily handled by our system when they are cooked, as well as the cooking of meat kills bacteria and other pathogens that may be harmful to us, not to mention that some of the flavours and textures that can be attained with good cooking are one of the things that makes life worthwhile, (at least that's what my dog recons) who bludges just about everything I eat before eating her dog food.
