Yes, but I think different dogs have different reactions to it. Researchers say that eating a block of chocolate can cause diarrhea and vomiting, although one Easter my labrador ate all the Easter eggs, foil and all, and she is still alive and well to this day. Chocolate and macadamia nuts contain something called theobromine, which reacts to their nervous system and makes them unwell. So yes, it probobly isn't best feeding your dog chocolate.

Dogs really shouldn't eat any kind of chocolate meant for human consumption.

The brown ones all contain various amounts of cocoa, which has some stuff in it that is dangerous for dogs. Usually the darker it is the more dangerous it is.

White chocolate - even if it's safe WRT cocoa - is too fatty and sugary to be a good dog treat.

One of them is theobromine (a chemical very closely related to caffeine). It's present naturally in cacao beans.

A small amount of chocolate can cause your dog to have an upset stomach, causing vomiting or diarrhea.
