What joint actions occurring in a lateral raise during the concentric and eccentric phase?

To see eccentric contraction, look at the biceps curl with flexion around the elbow. As you lower a weight, you are working against resistance, letting the joint angle increase to lower that object under your control. The opposite is the concentric contraction were the arm is flexed upward to decrease the angle at the elbow.

Which joint are the biceps working with in the body?

The joints that the biceps are working with are the elbow joint and the shoulder joint.

When you bend your arms what muscle is the flexor?

What are different types of contraction in sport?

The different types of contraction in sport is; Concentric Eccentric you also have to include; joint action e.g. Extension / flexion the agonist / agonistic muscle pairs e.g. hamstrings, quadriceps, biceps, triceps ect. & the joint itself e.g. knee, elbow, shoulder,

What are two muscles that are synergists with the biceps femoris muscle?

The semitendinosus and the semimembranosus muscles assist the biceps femoris in the action of flexing the knee joint. The semitendinosus and the semimembranosusmuscles also work together to perform extension of the hip joint.

What are the muscles that move the joint?

biceps and triceps

What are the synergistic muscles of the thigh?

Biceps and brachioradialis. The bicep is the prime mover in elbow joint movement and the brachioradialis acts as a synergistic muscle to stabilize the joint, thus aiding in the motion.

What is the joint of biceps brachii?

It flexes the arm at the elbow.

What is the term for biceps brachii during elbow flexion?

prime mover (agonist)Not sure what you're asking here, but the biceps brachii is the prime mover facilitating flexion at the elbow joint.

What do the triceps and biceps muscles do?

The triceps muscles extend (straighten) the arm, while the biceps muscles flex (bend) it at the elbow joint.

What is the joint action during the concentric phase of reverse fly?

horizontal abduction
