Can't "reset" the code; only add an additional personal code to it. The procedure is in the owners manual.

You can find the five digit numbers for the keypad on a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer in the owners manual. You can also call the dealership and ask for a the code or take the vehicle in for a new code to be programmed.

Hi, You can't replace the factory keypad code. You can add other codes and erase that ones that had been added. You have to replace the module if you don't want the original code to work.
