∙ 2005-04-24 02:17:50The head gasket on a 1999 Chevy Malibu is replaced by removing the coolant, intake manifold, and retaining bolts. The cylinder head can then be removed, the gasket replaced, and everything reassembled.
It is between $65-$85 for the gaskets.
Intake manifold gasket

I'm sorry but i actually have a 99 Malibu and they do have a intake manifold gasket which are commonly mistaken for a head gasket when it blows. Mailbu's 97 to 2000 are bad for them blowing. it is located on top of the engine. it's still very expensive **tamnesha Some Chevy engines of that period didn't have a gasket; just a thin film of sealant.
Remove the intake manifold retaining bolts from your 1996 Chevy Astro Van. Remove the manifold gasket and clean the surface. Reverse the process to install the new intake manifold gasket.
You will need to remove the exhaust manifold retaining bolts in your 1993 Chevy Astro. Remove the exhaust manifold. Remove the exhaust manifold gasket and clean the surface. Reverse the process to install the new exhaust manifold gasket.
The Chevy Cruze and the Chevy Malibu
is their a web site, that will provide me with the a print out for the intstalling of a intake manifold gasket for a 2003 chevy aenture.
Assuming this is a 4.3L engine, the upper intake manifold gasket would be between the upper intake manifold and the lower intake manifold.
No, You don't put anything on Head, Exahust or intake gaskets. CJ actually you do put a 1/8'th inch bead of black silicone on the gasket to ensure no leaks occur and it also helps hold the gasket in place when your putting the intake manifold on. I'm a ford master technician, you ALWAYS use silicone when replacing intake and head gaskets. =DK
