A case to illustrate this concept is the three charges former Virginia Tech Quarterback Marcus Vick received for having sex with, giving alcohol and marijuana to a high school student.

∙ 15y agoThere are no laws regarding dating. However, there are laws regarding sexual contact. In most states the age of consent is 16, so in those states there is no issue. However, there are states where the age of consent is older then 17, so consult the laws for your state.

In the US I would be careful to live as an 16 year old with an 18 year old without the permission of the parents. The parents can get him sentenced when they want to and that is all legal - see Megan´s Law.

That all depends on where you live. If you live where the consent age is above 16 then you will get in trouble with the law if they are told. There is a law of statutory rape on under age sexual relationships so beware of this as you could end up in jail.
