In the US I would be careful to live as an 16 year old with an 18 year old without the permission of the parents. The parents can get him sentenced when they want to and that is all legal - see Megan´s Law.

That all depends on where you live. If you live where the consent age is above 16 then you will get in trouble with the law if they are told. There is a law of statutory rape on under age sexual relationships so beware of this as you could end up in jail.

At the age of 18 by federal law you are a legal adult in every aspect except for alcohol consumption... therefore you can move out at 18 although in my opinion you're asking for trouble because I doubt you're ready for what the world has in store for you at 18. I know I wasn't.
