For the 4.9 L ( 300 cubic inch ) STRAIGHT 6 cylinder engine in a 1993 Ford F-150 The spark plug firing order is ( 1 - 5 - 3 - 6 - 2 - 4 ) The distributor rotor turns CLOCKWISE The marked # 1 position on the distributor cap faces AWAY from the engine The engine cylinders / spark plugs are numbered 1 to 6 , from front to rear
