In Louisiana you are required to attend school until your 18th birthday unless you graduate prior to that. I believe that you can withdraw from school (although I would not recommend it!) at 17 if you have the written consent of your parent. If you fail to attend school as required, you will be referred to the Truancy/Discipline Court.

It is not legal to bake and sell baked goods out of your home in the state of Louisiana, no matter what. I was making cakes for friends a little over a year ago and when I started getting calls from people I didnt even know, I called the health department to see what I needed to do to become legal and they told me that it's not legal no matter what you do... some states you can get licensed to have a home bakery but absolutely not in the state of louisiana, so.... within 3 months, I opened my own commercial bakery.

How can you drop out off school legally in the UK?

The only legal way, it to exchange attending school - for home tuition ! If you're under 16, you either attend school or are tutored at home. Home tutoring is monitored by the local education authority, to ensure you're getting an equivalent education to that of a state school. You cannot simply 'drop out'. The local education authority has the legal power to force you to attend school - or put your parents in prison if you refuse to attend !
