He is under the age of legal majority in all states. There is always the possibility the parent(s) can be held legallu responsible for any damages, personal injury that is caused by his negligence or participation in criminal activity. This is especially true in a situation such as the one referred to due to the fact that the parents have prior knowledge of criminal intent. Therefore, for their own protection they should take the appropriate steps to insure cannot be held liable for the minor's behavior. They can file for a requisition order to have their son returned to their custody; request the court for release from their financial and legal obligations for the minor; or request the state take the minor into custody for his own well-being.
