The legend of Mount Timpanogos is...
There was a Indian girl who was the chef's daughter and when the chief's daughter reached a certain age the chief said she had to climb up the mountain of Timpanogos and then jump off from the top of the mountain. The chief still loved his daughter, but she had to do it, so the Indian girl climbed up the mountain. As she was climbing up she met a man who knew who she was, but she didn't know him. He said don't jump off the mountain and when he said this she thought he was a god, so they got married, but one day he got attacked by a bear and so she knew he wasn't a god. Since she was all alone on this mountain she headed up farther and jumped off the top of the mountain. She now was dead, but the legend says she was buried on top of mount Timpanogos. out of all the rocks and other stuff on top of the mountain, there looks like there's a girl carved into it. With her hair, head, feet, arms, and dress carved into it. Her heart is somewhere in the mountain, when you hike up to the cave on Mount Timpanogos in Provo, Utah. There is a red light bulb in something and they call that the heart of Timpanogos.
