Tap handles are pulled to deliver liquid from a tap. This is mainly used for beer and sodas such as root beer. They originated when alcoholic beverages were kept in wooden kegs or barrels. The tap system was activated by pulling the tap lever to get the liquid out.

How do you repair leek on single lever monobloc mixer tap?

Depends on the leak.Do NOT forget to close main water tap or safety taps before disassembling any tap.If the tap keeps dripping on the "spout" even when it is off then it is a problem with the mono bloc cartridge that controls water flow. It can be replaced by removing the lever (is is usually press fitted) and unscrewing the top of the tap. The cartridge should be exposed and easily removable. A new, compatible cartridge is inserted and secured. If it is a rotating "spout" and the leak occurs at the rotating base of the "spout". In this case the tap is disassembled and there should be 2-4 O rings keeping the water in. These need replacement. Some have metallic O rings that are very difficult to install. Lime can damage these O rings and usually builds near the edge of the base of the "spout" that rotates and the rest of the tap. To complete disassemble the tap remove lever, unscrew the top of the tap, remove the metal pipe that is between the top and the ring part of the "spout". The "spout" should slide up revealing the o rings.Connections to the tap could also leak. Flexible tubes can be unscrewed using a small wrench and have 1-2 rubber O rings that can be replaced The taps fixed directly on the pipes have rubber washers. To replace these you need to remove the tap by using a wrench and unfasten the nuts holding the tap to the pipes. The rubber washers are between the pipe and tap. After replacing the washers do not overtighten the nuts as you could damage the new washers. You could always replace the tap.

How old webley mk3 supertarget?

The Mk3 supertarget was made between 1946 and 1975. If it has Parker Hale sights and a nicely shaped and checkered loading tap lever its an early one. If it has a plain loading tap lever and PH sights its in the middle and the later ones had Anschutz sights, and no brass box on the pistol grip to hold PH inserts. It is difficult to be more precise from serial numbers as there is not the logical sequence found on some other makes.
