A thyroidectomy removes the thyroid gland from the neck of the cat and takes away the cat's ability to make thyroid hormone (responsible for controlling basal metabolism) away. If the thyroid was removed due to a benign tumor and the cat is well managed on replacement thyroid hormone, it is reasonable to expect the cat to live a normal life span of 15-18 years. If the thyroid was removed due to a malignant tumor, the cat's life span may be dramatically reduced depending on the aggressiveness and distribution of the metastases.
The average life span of a balinese cat is 10-14 years. Hope it helps!
About 15+ years.
It mostly depends on breed of cat and how healthy the cat is. If you feed your cat exsessive amounts of food then the life span will be shorter. If your cat lacks water, food, or territory then the lefespan will be shorter. A healthy cat's life span can be up to 35 human years (120 cat years) in rare situations. The average life span of indoor cats is 11-25. And the lower life span of a unhealthy cat is ranging from 5-9 years if lucky. P.S Im 11 and wrote this from book reaserching. I hope this info is usefull. :-)

Indoor cats typically live 14 to 20 years, though the oldest known cat lived to age 36. A cat's life span is dependant on it's life style. Overweight cats do not live as long as a healthy cat. For more info see: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cat
