blue eyes very likely, blond hair, not lucky- will turn out brown as brown hair is the dominant allele in a brown-blond pair of alleles (see genetics, hair color, wikipedia).

Hi, no I don't agree because I have brown hair now but I was properly blond til I was 6 years old. Both my parents had brown hair. I am English (and by that I mean properly English - not muslim) and like 90% of ethnically English people, have blond hair when young that darkens with age. This is due to the English race being Germanic and related to the Germans, Danes, Norwegians etc. In the US, there are lots of people with either English or German ancestry - so much the same story there too.

I do not know about English race, ancestors and genetic traits, nor the genetic background of the darkening blond hair, however if both parents have brown hair, it means that they carry at least one dominant gene that expresses brown hair. Still, if both parent have also one recessive allele for blond hair, theoretically there is a 25% chance that their children could be blond haired, and of course with blue eyes.

Well, it depends whether or not they have the recessive gene or not. If both parents have the recessive gene, then 1/4. If neither of them have that recessive gene, then it's not possible.

Would you be at a greater risk of having a child with autism if the mother is mid thirties in age and the father has a half brother with autism?

Yes. A woman's risk of having a child with autism increases with age. Women in their 30s and 40s are at a higher risk than younger women, and if the father's half-brother inherited autism from the parent that gave birth to the father then the likelihood of him passing it on is slightly increased as any family history of autism will make it more likely to appear in future generations. Though most cases of autism are relatively mild, the severity of the case cannot be predicted by past cases in the family. For instance, the father's half brother could be severely autistic, but he may still father an unaffected child, or one with a very mild case. I would contact a genetic counselor for further review. If this is not possible, contacting a gynecologist/obstetrician is a good idea because they deal with health issues of the embryo and fetus and further explore the risks. In fact, the risk of having an autistic child increases with the father's age. The older the father is, the bigger the chance is.

Is dyslexia genetically related?

Absolutely! If you have a close family member who has dyslexia, you are much more likely to have it yourself. Both my father and my mother's father have dyslexia, therefore it is not such a surprise that I do. Also, if you have people who are left-handed in your family, that has been proven to increase your likelihood of having dyslexia.
