What is the little red light on the top of a 2000 Elantra steering wheel for and why is it ALWAYS on?

It's a dealer installed alarm and if it's solid and you did nothing it's most likely malfunctioning like mine did. After that light came on and wouldn't go off for no reason in my 2000 Elantra eventually my alarm started actually going off every time I opened the door just for fun. I took it to a dealer and told them to remove the security system. Took them 10 minutes and cost $70. Problem solved.

I had problem on my 2001 Elantra with power for radio, inside light and trunk light. I found the fuse in the fuse compartment on dashboard on the left side from the steering wheel. To acces it you need to pull out the coin holder. Inside you will see the fuses and diagram with tags. Radio was in the second row on the right if I remember correct. Good luck.
