What is the location of the camshaft position sensor on 1997 Ford Ranger 3.0?
near the firewall just left of center (or just towards the passengers side). it is located where the distributor would be on an older motor and is driven in the same manner. It also drives the oil pump.(not the sensor on top but the shaft below that is spun off the cam)
There is no "camshaft position sensor" in the 1999 ranger 2.5l motor so they have to have a crank position sensor. what kind of problems are you having? i might be able to help. you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I have a 99 2.5 with a P340 code "camshaft positioning sensor circuit malfunction" Supposidly, it is behind the aux pulley.
Where are the crankshaft position sensor and the camshaft position sensor located on a 4cyl 95 Toyota Camry?
The crankshaft position sensor must be behind the timing belt cover next to the crankshaft and behind the crankshaft pulley. The camshaft position sensor is again under the timing belt cover next to the camshaft and behind and the camshaft pulley. Is it the same place in 2000 Camry 4Cyl? Do you have pictures of the location? Hard or easy to replace, and what tools do I need? Thanks alot
What do you do when you get engine code340 and 341 for camshaft position sensor when there is no such thing on a 1998 Saturn SL2?
The 1998 Saturn SL2 will show a code 340 and 341 for a camshaft position sensor because this part is also considered the crankshaft position sensor on the Saturn. The location of the crankshaft position sensor is behind the alternator on a 1998 Saturn SL2. Both crankshaft and camshaft are the same thing This vehicle is not equipped with a camshaft position sensor. Saturn is the only manufacture that uses a auto pulse generated inside…
I'm not a mechanic / technician but from what I have read : The camshaft position sensor on top of the camshaft position synchronizer on the Ford 4.0 liter EFI , V6 engine , is on top of the engine , near the center line , at the back of the engine near the firewall * apparently you can't see it until the upper intake manifold is removed
The Camshaft Position Sensor is located under the Rotor within the Distributor. Remove the Distributor Cap (two screws - one in front the other in back), located at the rear of the engine, then remove the Rotor (two screws). The Camshaft Position Sensor is located under the Rotor mounting housing. The engine will need to be turned (hand cranked using a wrench - large nut behind the cooling fan) to position the Rotor mounting housing…
