No one knows.
the longest shot on record was 2430 meters (over 2600 yards) with a M82A1 SASR. it was made by a Canadian sniper team in Afghanistan Now it is correct.
You will have to me more specific. Do you mean any rifle that fires a 30 caliber projectile or 30/06 or 308?
It's the caliber of the cartridge it fires.
the longest recorded kill was 1149 yards, but that may have been eclipsed this year in afgan.I just do not know what caliber ws used.
Definitely Not !!
Stevens 30 caliber rim fire is not a true 30 caliber. Chamber is .296. Bore .270 t0 .277. I found a 30 caliber rim fire round, at a gun show. It did not measure out to a 30 cal. Shot shooter
Remington .270, 150 grain.
I can say that i shot a fine Antelope buck with my 270Win caliber rifle at 403 paces in Wyoming.I have seen this caliber make many kills from that distance on in to 35 yards. It all depends on the game animal hunted, and most important your rifle skills.
Have a gunsmith verify the exact 270 chambering. <><><> Agree. The standard .270 cannot fire the .270 WSM, and vice versa.
300 or so.
Really depends on the load, but the .270 is typically the more powerful of the two.
Generally speaking, no. You can only fire the caliber for which the gun is chambered. There are some exceptions, but not many.
