The audience actor relationship is the way of describing the chain of reactions an audience has whilst watching an actor.
an actor audience relationship could equally be alluding to a rapoor they hope to create. They want you to like their acting, but they also want you to like them, because it will make you more inclined to enjoy watching them act. For example I think Hugh Grant is a bit of a prick, I don't like him and thus think virtually nothing of his 'acting'. Some actors even live off this like-ability, a good example of this would be Seth Rogen, who is by all standards not the best actor in the world, but doesn't need to be, because he is loved by people that like the kind of 'party with bad jokes thrown in' movie, and is hugely successful as a result of his dedicated fan-base.
Performer/Audience Relationship (or the Actor/Audience Relationship,)
The theatrical experience is unique in that actors and audience get together at the same time and place for a specific purpose. Actors act for an audience; there is an implied contract under which the person in the audience willingly suspends his disbelief in the pretending on stage. He knows that the actor playing Julius Caesar does not really die when he is stabbed, and that is not real blood. He knows these things but agrees to pretend that he does NOT know them so that he can empathize with the actors on stage. The audience for a theatrical production is not a voyeur. It is a participant, part of an active relationship. Each side brings something to the event, and they pretend together. This is why the events are called "plays".
If an actor speaks directly to the audience it is called an aside. If an actor speaks to himself, while only the audience can hear, it is called soliloquy. The fourth wall is a hypothetical barrier between the actors and the audience. This barrier is broken when an actor interacts with the audience through an aside.
An ASIDE.
a remark made by an actor to the audience that other actors don't hear is called aside
When the actor is facing the audience and can be seen all times onwards by the audience.
The fourth wall is said to be the wall that separates the audience from an actor. To break the fourth wall, the actor will talk directly to the audience. Abuse of this would be to over talk to the audience.
An 'aside'.
Presence and confidence, using energy in performance, building and maintaining an actor-audience relationship, ability to develop and memorise words and/or actions and sustain character.
A soliloquy
Observing the audience helps you understand the relationship between the audience and performers because, the way the people react to the actors shows their respect for them.
An actor is important to connect the audience to the film and to perform the dialogues, stunts etc.
