that is actually incorrect. its a combination (most likely due to confusion) of "by the skin of my teeth" and "its no skin off my nose." not sure how either of those got started, but just fyi
because the skin in your nose is very sensitive so when you pluck your nose hairs it can rip off a large amount of skin that is why its bad to pluck nose hairs
When people use the phrase "by the skin of your teeth," they mean that the person barely accomplished what they were trying to. The figure of speech "skin of your nose" is not a common one.
Well the only sport that that saying is associated with is baseball and it means to hit the ball so hard that you are going to knock the outer skin right off of it. Obviously that's not possible but it is a good saying none the less.
One who strips off the skin.
no skin off my nose
Yes you can, but stop if it's beard gets dark or if it kind of tries to get out of your hand STOP, because that means it doesn't like it. Also only pull the skin if it's hanging or if the skin is on it"s nose. If the skin on it's nose it can't breathe!
I pulled off my old burnt skin (from inside my nose) after 1 week.
Yes. It can be irritable to the skin if not washed off. It can be especially harmful if injested or if it gets in the eyes or nose.
That doesn't sound good. I would take the dog to a vet.
In Africa they've started saying that it reduces the transmission of AIDS. I remember hearing an Indian saying that a healthy foreskin is a gift from God.
yes off course, the dogs dry skin can cause them to scratch their nose and make them irritated the only solution i found is to provide them skin nourishment for that i used lavender oil , which can make their skin smooth and soft, I also use the nose balm of Puppington which is really effective on her and makes her nose dry and crust free :)
