Beat or mix together in a bowl until well blended without clumps. Butter needs to be room temperature. Since mine is refrigerated I cream on the low setting on the stove to warm the butter

When you are following a recipe to cream the ingredience means to blend them together so they are one.An example would be to cream the sugar,vanilla and butter together, you now have sweet butter,with a vanilla flavor........buttercream icing with a vanilla flavor.
