The screw socket into which an ordinary light bulb is inserted.
It is not always a screw, but when it is, then just so that it can be attached in the socket of the lamp.
It is called a socket or base. This keeps the bulb securely in place and allows electricity to flow directly to the bulb.
The hot screw on a Porcelain socket or and electrical is the Gold screw. The Silver screw is the neutral
If you mean the screw on part that holds the lamp shade on the it's called a Finial. If you mean the stand that hooks on right below the socket I've heard it called a harp.
The screw part or the part that holds it in place in many cases is a screw, so in that case it could be held up as an example of a screw. I doubt however if a light bulb with a bayonet fitting could be held as an example of a screw.
An Allen screw is a screw whose head has a hexagonal socket.
There is a single screw above each front parking light assembly. You will need a 7mm socket to remove the screw. After the screw is removed, simply pull on the assembly from the back corner and pull straight forward.
The screw size is a 6-32. This relates to diameter size of #6 and 32 threads per inch. The length for receptacles is usually 3/4 of an inch.
you're gonna have to pop out the entire light. stick a screw driver covered with a cloth between the plastic and the metal of the car. then push the screw driver gently towards the center of the light while also applying a downward force. the clip should disengage and the light should come off. be careful, it is clipped and u do not want to break it off. once you pull it off, unscrew the socket from the plastic and replace the bulb.
There should be a screw or two holding the directional assembly to the fender. The back of this assembly has a light bulb socket which usually comes out by turning it just a little to release the tabs on the socket from the slots in the assembly
of course it is the iron screw because it is made up of minerals that rust faster then metal
