The general modes (mobiles, phones, etc.) depend on towers, wires which offer no resistance to a disaster. That means there will be no communication if a disaster kills these modes so each and every country ought to go for such systems which are not dependent on the electric supply, sunlight, etc
Friends there is one and only one website for CBSE Projects i.e www.icbse.com.You project i.e communication facilities in disaster managementis available at http://www.icbse.com/2009/communication-facilities-for-disaster-management-project/Communication is a major bottleneck in case of any major disaster particularly when the traditional network system already in force brake down. In order to strengthen communications, it has been decided that police network (POLNET) will also be used for disaster management. For this purpose POLNET communication facility will be extended to District Magistrates, Sub Divisional Magistrates as well as the Control Rooms.what is the roll of communication medias in disaster management?

Identify as many potential disasters as possible. For a business these should include computer failure, power failure, arson, flood, strikes, etc,etc Identify remedial actions and responsibilities (who does what in event of disaster) Write Disaster Plan setting out all the above together with all relevant contact names, addresses and phone nos (including mobile phone nos), maintenance contract details, insurance details, serial numbers, etc Issue numbered copies of Plan to people who need them with record of Plan circulation. Rewrite Plan as required. Set up Disaster Management team to meet in first instance after a disaster to deal with main issues (inform staff, inform head office, inform police, inform insurance company, arrange alternative accommodation, etc, etc)

In a disaster, a radio may save your life. For one, you can hack the radio if you have the necessary skills to do so, in order to send out a signal rather than receive one. Another way is that you can use the information you receive from news channels to stay informed about the emergency situation, and know where to go if it happens. For instance, if there was a zombie apocalypse, you would use a radio to search for survivors, and if you heard a signal, and if that signal tells you where to go, listen to it. Zombies are not smart enough to work a radio station, so a signal like that is obviously not an ambush. Don't forget your crowbar!

Many disasters involve the crippling or destruction of normal communications methods:Telephone (especially cellphone) networks may be overloaded.Electrical power may be unavailable (especially at a disaster site).Radios and radio systems that are portable and battery (or generator) powered can avoid the above problems.
