I have a 1996 Buick 3.8cylinder (pretty much same engine)
my car has 190,000 miles on it and still runs great!
but obviously if ou want it to last you need to change the oil and you can't beat the hell out of it (accelerate by getting it to 3500 rpms, etc.)
Great engine! i should be able to get 250,000 out of it no problem
