Usually, a CNA class have a duration of 75 hours as required by the OBRA -87 legislation and continue for four to six weeks. I believe it differs from state to state. In the state of Washington, it takes from 6 weeks - 3 months, depending on where you do your training. At the college in our hometown it costs approximately $400-$500 for 3 months of training (4 hours, 5 days a week.) A few LTC facilities in our area train NAs and their courses last 6 weeks. The students are paid minimum wage for every hour they were present (8 hours, 5 days a week for 6 weeks.) *minimum wage in WA is $8.55/hr

You can serve in the WA legislature at age 18. There are a few other requirements (like living in your district) but 18 is the minimum age. Source: http://www.leg.wa.gov/StudentsPage/Documents/teenguide_web.pdf
You can attempt it. You would have to go to the court that ordered the garnishment and file a motion to appeal.
