That refers to the process the body uses to make red blood cells. So do you mean a child doesn't have enough red blood cells, or that there is something wrong with the kidneys that detect a drop in oxygen and then produce erythopoietin? Or not enough erythopoietin is produced?
If a doctor told you that your child has a problem, why did he/she not give you a diagnosis? How do you know if the child has a problem like this?
