Wagoneer
this is a very common problem for the jeep grand wagoneer. i have a 1989 with the 360 motor. I was having the same problem. most of time this is solved by replaceing the electronic control module (ECM). it is a 4"square box mounted on the drivers side fender well neer the fire wall. It is held in place by four bolts and has a plug. As long as the wires are not damaged it it usually a 15 min fix. I had to replace the plug on mine due to corrosion. This is also very common on the wagoneer. Once the ECM is replaced you should not have any more problem with this issue. If you do trace your wires to the distributor and be sure everything is in good shape. good luck
That all depends on the problem your having and grand ams are full of electrical problems.
The repair of the electrical problem will depend on what the problem is. You will need to check for loose or shorted wires or blown fuses in the circuit giving the problem to start with.
The Jeep Wagoneer- the first Luxury 4x4, entered into production in 1963. It was produced under various models known as the Grand Wagoneer, the Jeep Ahoo, and the Jeep Simorgh in several countries.

check for: Spark Fuel Compresssion
Because the starter uses electricity.
Electrical problem, check batt cable connections to start
There are multiple electrical and mechanical causes to a no start condition. No fuel pressurization and spark may indicate a fuse or electrical fault, as opposed to a starting system problem alone.
my 83 jeep wagoneer with a 360 engine my ignition switch does'nt start my jeep i have replaced coil and starter ,when i jump the coil it starts
If it turns over but just doesn't start, it may be the CRANK POSITION SENSOR located next to the air conditioning compressor. Sometimes you just have to disconnect the electrical connection and re-connect and it may just work then you know that was your problem. It could be the FUEL PUMP also but sometimes they act up some before going out so there is some warning.
