The U.S. state farthest away from the state of Washington is the state of Florida. Seattle to Miami is about 2800 miles as the crow flies; by comparison, Seattle to Honolulu is about 2700 miles, as the crow flies.
The states of Washington and Florida are in opposite corners of the 48 contiguous states: Florida in the southeast (lower right on most maps), Washington state in the northwest (upper left on most maps).
