Well, I'm not sure where the previous person got their list of crops. It sounds like these might be just for the US - but I can't say since I don't know where they are getting thier information. Also, I think the answer to this question depends on what you mean by "important".
If "important" means the most produced and consumed food crops globally, the list above is not even close to correct. The answer would be rice, wheat, potatoes, corn, casava, and soy (not in a specific order).
