It should notify somewhere in the owners manual or on my '92 it's stamped to the rear bumper very clearly - tongue loading is important too.
A conservative estimate would be around 5000 lbs. With the SOHC 4.0L used on some model year "Sports" you'd probably have better hauling characteristics.
On a side note, on a recent visit to the autoparts place, the guy told me the Sports were built on a 1/2 ton chassis and were even more of a workhorse than many believe. I'm not sure of the validity of this but hey, I haven't found a load mine wouldn't carry yet! :-)
