Go to http:/www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/findacar.htm for fuel mileage ratings on any car from 1985 to now. It shows two ratings for 1991. The 5.0 V8 with 4 speed automatic transmission is rated at 15 mpg city, and 24 mpg highway. The 5.7 V8 with 4 speed automatic transmission is rated at 13 mpg city, and 19 mpg highway. These ratings are based on the new system enacted in 2008. The new rating system allows for a more realistic mpg rating.
It receives 16 mpg regular, and 24 mpg highway. average mpg is 19 mpg.
Our 1994 was listed as 24/26 , but my father swears it was 34 on the highway going 70mph>
Most likely low-to mid-teens in the city, mid-to high teens on the highway.
The 1996 Chevy Caprice holds 23 gallons of fuel. the vehicle had an estimated 16 mpg city, 24mpg on the highway.
on a 2005 chevy classic 4 cylinder the average mpg u should expect is between 26-28 mpg
It is important to know the fuel economy of a vehicle while owning it. The 1985 Chevy Caprice has a fuel economy between 14 mpg city and 26 mpg highway.
Roughly 16 mpg city. Roughly 20 mpg highway.
The Caprice LS had 2 engines - the 5.0 V8 got 22 mpg in overall driving and 25 mpg highway if maintained in good condition. The 5.7 V8 (police interceptor) lagged by 5 mpg.
I have a 91 rs 305 v8 and get about 19 mpg.
YMMV really applies here, as a lot depends on your engine size, gear ratio, maintenance, driving habits (and all that good stuff). A 305 fuel-injected 1991 Caprice Classic with 100k, low gear ratio and the "light right foot" mod can get 16-18 city and 26-29 open hwy. Not bad for a V8 land yacht. The larger LO5 and LT1 engines usually rate lower in the mpg area.
