What is the name of antioxidant present in chocolate?

Chocolate contains catechins, which are simple flavonols. Flavanols are types of polyphenols, which are a group of antioxidants. These antioxidants are found in the cocoa, which is the nonfat part of chocolate. Darker chocolates have much more of these antioxidants, while sweeter milk-chocolates have very little.
