Constantine was the first Roman Emperor who brought Christianity to the empire in 312 AD, it spread so rapidly, within a few years the whole of the Roman Empire was converted to Christianity.

Constantine the Great made Christianity legal in the Roman Empire, thanks largely to his mother St. Helena. Previously Christians had been persecuted by the Romans.

You are probably thinking of Constantine, but he didn't "turn Rome Catholic", he simple made being Catholic legal - it was no longer a capital offense. Constantine, himself, although his mother, St. Helen, was Catholic, he did not convert until his deathbed.

How did Constantine divide the Roman Catholic Church?

Roman is an epithet first commonly used in England after the protestant revolt to describe the Catholic Church. It is rarely used by the Catholic Church. Constantine was Emperor of Rome who removed the penalty for being a Catholic, he, himself, converted before he died, but was not a Catholic for most of his life. He did not divide the Church.
