The three subatomic particles are the proton, the neutron, and the electron. Protons and neutrons are located inside the nucleus. Electrons are located outside of the nucleus in the electron cloud.

The electron cloud. An electron cloud is a volume or region in the atom where it is likely to find or detect an electron. It is actually really hard to detect an electron because an atom is mostly empty space, electrons are orbiting the nucleus at almost the speed of light so they orbit really fast, the electrons are very tiny and may be point like since we don't really know the volume or size of the electron, and an atom in reality is 3 dimensional which the electron cloud and orbitals is 3 dimensional. Since electrons are so hard to detect then they would call this volume or region of the atom an electron cloud because the electron cloud is a volume or region where they know that electrons are likely to be there even if they are hard to find. Or maybe the electron cloud is where they can also know the different sub- orbitals or subshells of the electrons.
I think the word you're looking for is "electron cloud". That term already describes where electrons are found. It would be kind of silly to define "electron cloud" in such a way that it describes an area where electrons are not found, wouldn't it?

It isn't a physical cloud, it is the area electrons orbits are found in. While this is true, it is actually called an "electron cloud" because the electrons that spin around the nucleus are spinning around it so fast.
Not exactly. An electron is an actual physical particle with a negative charge. An electron cloud is (generally) a spherical area around the nucleus of an atom that predicts where the electrons might be located.
The electrons in an atom are located in what is called the electron cloud. The electron cloud is an "area of probability" where electrons may be. The electrons actually occupy fixed energy levels, the so-called Fermi energy levels, around the nucleus of the atom, and we identify these energy levels as shells and orbitals. It can be determined by the size of it's electron. The reason for this being is because of the mass that is calculated by the protons to the neutrons of the atoms within the nucleus.
