The proper name of it is Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Mosque but it is commonly referred to as The Grande Mosque or just Sheikh Zayed Mosque.
I have lived in Abu Dhabi for 6 years now and English is definately spoken in Abu Dhabi, many of the Arabs do understand alot of English. There are many English school that do have Arabs, Indians, Spanish, German, french etc. They all have to be able to speak English to go to the school. There isn't a big population of Americans or Australians in Abu Dhabi though. The majority of people in the English schools in Abu Dhabi are English.
Yes! The local team is Al Jazira, their stadium is in the city centre. Later this year the FIFA club world cup is coming to Abu Dhabi too - there is a lot of interest in the sport, and all the bars show the big British games.
there is no grand mosque...many large towns have a grand mosque that heads the smaller ones and some countrys have a grand mosgue to head all mosque in the country..there is no grand mosgue ..most people think the grand mosque is the mosque in mecca but it isn't not...even to is in mecca it don't control all mosque worldwide so there is no grand mosque as in control of all mosque but many mosque called grand mosque like for example the grand mosque of Kuwait or the grand mosque of mecca or the grand mosque of abu dhabi just to name a few on national level...but is no main controling mosque .....
Abu Dhabi, undoubtedly. As the capital of the UAE and with many years oil reserves left, Abu Dhabi has much greater wealth reserves than Dubai, and has, in recent times provided funding to Dubai. Whilst Dubai has developed at a much greater pace than Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi has retained more traditional values and as well as expanding the infrastructure, is diversifying and developing the industrial side too. Dubai has a much greater reliance on tourism, which has not really had an impact as yet in Abu Dhabi, although that is set to change in the coming months. The recent credit crunch has had a big impact on Dubai, with many people being made redundant, the population has dropped, and the construction of many high profile developments has ceased. Abu Dhabi, whilst not unaffected, has continued with it's expansion - even if it a slower pace - and will shortly be showcasing the F1 track and development on Yas Island.
U.K is much much bigger than UAE, u can say UAE is 1/5 size of UK
Abu Simbel is a smaller city.
It depends on how big the mosque is and where it is.
The Battle of Jackmihardijarim, The Strait of Gibraltar, Battle on Big Hill That's Not Too Big But Kinda Big, Achmaharijad Plains War, and Jinimaredilian Battles.
it's not Necessary for mosques to have domes, but when they do, it depends on how big the ( Masged = mosque ) is. at least one.
Yes, it is only good if you have lots of money. Segregration of the rich is big in Dubai and everyone loves to show off their money. However, poverty does exist not really in Dubai itself but in other Emirates of the UAE; Dubai being one of the richest after Abu Dhabi.
The big mosque/temple
Yes, the Kaaba is the big stone box in the middle of the most holy mosque, Al-Masjid al-Haram, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.
