Davy is important because he was a congressman for Tennessee and a very great soldier who lost his life at the Alamo on March 6, 1836.
The combatants used two types of hand-held firearms. The more prevalent flintlock released a cock holding a flint to spark the gunpowder. The caplock struck a percussion cap to set off the main charge
"Rifle" in German is Gewehr
I believe it was the 7.92mm ZB24 rifle and/or the vz. 24 rifle .

There was a lot of Pennsylvania/Kentucky rifles and cannons. Travis used a double barrel shotgun. There were other guns like the U.S. common rifle, British Baker, and Trade rifle.

The answer has been lost- as was Boone's rifle when he was captured by Indians. At the time his rifle was made, guns were made by individual gunsmiths. It is possible it was made by one of several smiths from the Berks County PA area. Guns that are on display as "Daniel Boone's rifle" have been found to be, well, less than authentic.
