Three major lagoons in Baja California are the primary destination of the southbound gray whales. These are Scammon's Lagoon, San Ignacio Lagoon, and Magdalena Bay.
The gray whales habitat is the Pacific Ocean surrounding the coasts around North America (USA, Canada & Mexico) on one side and Asia on the other side. They migrate southwards for nearly 10000 kilometers each October and return back to their northern territories post winter.
They pack up their luggage and pay for a plane ticket.
Whales live in the ocean. They do not have homes. Their home is the ocean. If the ocean becomes too polluted for the whales to live in (the Gulf of Mexico for example), they will just have to swim somewhere else to live.
